In Homestore and More, we are on a journey to manage our environmental and social impact. At a strategic level we have committed to:

    Our Operations

  • We purchase 100% renewable energy for our operations Renewable Energy Certificate
  • We have installed LED lighting at all of our locations
  • We have implemented a range of waste management improvements, including roll out of 3 bin systems in all locations and waste segregation training to all colleagues. This has led to a significant reduction in skip usage across the business.
  • We are consistently optimising/reducing our packaging where possible, including transitioning to recyclable material and/or recycled content.

    • Our Products

  • We are working to calculate the carbon footprint of our products, to enable good quality decision making around decarbonisation measures.
  • We are a member of the Better Cotton Initiative. Better Cotton’s mission is to help cotton communities survive and thrive, while protecting and restoring the environment.
  • We remind customers that care / washing instructions for all our textile products can be found on the product label or website. Following these instructions will extend the life of our product.

    Our Colleagues

  • We foster a culture of self-development, offering a range of training and development programmes to support our colleagues in enhancing their skills and growing within the business.
  • We have implemented an Employee Assistance Programme to prioritise colleague well-being, ensuring they have access to the support and resources they need.
  • Prioritising a safe working environment, complying with health and safety regulations, and regularly reviewing workplace conditions.
  • We are committed to building a workplace at Home Store + More where dignity and respect are at the core, creating an environment where every colleague feels appreciated, listened to, and motivated to succeed.

    • Our Community

  • We have set up an initiative for our colleagues to nominate local community causes to receive a donation. We believe that community causes are so important to local communities, and the work they do provides help to the community. Since launching in June 2024, we have donated to over 160 local community causes in Ireland. Community fund page
  • Since 2021, we have partnered with Friends of the Elderly, donating needed funds to this important cause.
  • We have a longstanding partnership with Bernardo’s, whom we donate products.
