This recipe can be easily modified to suit your own taste by adding in crushed up pieces of your favourite biscuits and bars, like Crunchie, Oreo or marshmallows!
You will need:
- 1 x Baking Tin
- 1 x Roll of Greaseproof Paper
- 1 x Large Bowl
- 1 x Saucepan
- 1 x Wooden Spoon
Ingredients
- 150g of good quality chocolate (60% - 70% cocoa will work best)
- 150g butter
- 2 large tablespoons golden syrup
- 225g rich tea or digestive biscuits
- 1 packet Maltesers
- Any other delicious goodies you'd like - marshmallows, nuts, raisins, white chocolate chips, get creative!
Recipe
- Line your baking tin with grease-proof paper
- Prepare your rich tea or digestive biscuits by placing them in a plastic food storage bag and crush them with a rolling pin
- Chop the chocolate into small squares and melt in a bowl above a saucepan of hot water (make sure the bowl isn't touching the water directly or this will burn the chocolate)
- Add the butter and golden syrup into the bowl and continue to stir
- Stir in the crushed biscuits, Maltesers, and whichever other goodies you've chosen
- Remove from the heat and spread the mixture into your lined baking tin
- Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours or until set
- Remove from the tin, slice, serve and enjoy!
